Pius

Tibet Boyer

Location: Church of the Cosmic Platypus

Name: Pius

Rank: None

Brief Bio:

The Priest Of Church Of The Cosmic Platypus is devoutness personified, the only living true believer in the ancient religion of Phantom Deeps.

The Church Of The Cosmic Platypus is a largely forgotten, pagan religion, mostly disrespected by the majority of the town. They see it as an old cult, nothing more. But it is the progenitor of The Lunar Festival, a responsibility that Pius takes very seriously.

Everyone in the old town had believed that Pius perished in the blimp crash when it sliced through the town. However, by some miracle they survived, alone in The Old Town for literally months. They claim they survived because of their devotion and the beneficence of The Cosmic Platypus... but more accurately they survived on a huge amount of Diamant fungus.

This has left them with an… odd, faraway look in their eyes.

Pius has long erased their past: their true name is long forgotten, by them and by everyone else, too. “Pius” is a title and descriptor, self-given.

Pius’s dream is to restore the church to glory: to bring believers into the fold - to tell them about The Cosmic Platypus on high and how it rains eggs of truth upon the faithful. They live to spread The Word.

Wants: To protect the church

Needs: To remember who they were

Real name: Unknown

Phantom Peak Role: Priest

Intelligence: Average

Key Relationships: Everyone is their brother and sister

Union Membership: Doesn’t know what the union is

Irrationalities: Loving The Cosmic Platypus

Thoughts On Old Mayor: Furbish, seems to remember the name but can’t quite put a finger on whether it was good or bad.

Thoughts On Jonas: Distrusts Jonas, feels Jonas is trying to destroy the church and make people forget about the cosmic platypus. Jonas is an atheist and a materialist, everything Pius doesn’t stand for. Still, Jonaco have sponsored the lunar festival and decided to “make it more interesting” with the Robo-DJ during the traditional closing ceremony.
