Datchery
Tatiana Nicholle Davis
Location: General Store
Name: Datchery
Rank: 2
Brief Bio:
Datchery’s family founded Miramine, the old company that used to effectively rule Phantom Deeps. They had a life of supreme privilege, completely detached from the everyday trials and tribulations of the miners who worked below their father.
Her Grandfather, Datchery Senior, made all the money - and in the classic tale of rags to riches to rags, by the time the mantle was about to be passed to her Miramine was already on its last legs.
Datchery spent their life coasting on the coat tails of her father and grandfather. They believe they’re just facing a temporary set back and is working to restore their family’s legacy.
Jonas has allowed them a small cut of the profits of the General Store - a pathetic cut, to be honest. Datchery thinks this is their way back to a life of riches and privilege: of course, it is not.
Out of a strong sense of sentimentality they keep many records of Miramine - and they struggle to realise that their old life is forever gone.
Ultimately though, Datchery is a kind-hearted soul, alienated by capital from reality. They don’t resent the present, they just want what they had before back. They enjoy working - something they never did before - but their goal is their former default, a life where they had the freedoms of riches.

(Persons of interest)
Giffard / Canal Bartender - On the surface, Giffard is your classic bartender. A burly, charming character with a wry smile and a wink in their eye.
But in truth, Giffard is anything but an archetype. Underneath, they are a passionate nerd who is passionately invested in the science fiction and mysteries of Phantom Peak.
Giffard loves this town: a place this modern, fresh and exciting is the stuff of their dreams. Giffard writes fan fiction and short stories in their spare time.
Union Membership: Jonas Union Member (As a social) “The old union destroyed us - they were always begging for more.”
Irrationalities: Derived from a lack of familiarity - they are used to a life of privilege, so fending for themselves in the “real world” often throws up unfamiliar situations that they have to face.
Thoughts On Old Mayor: Knew them socially, was a big fan
Thoughts On Jonas: Met him many times. Thinks he’s a wonderful man, in the vein of their grandfather.
